Built on a Strong Foundation: Wabaco Pentecostal Church was founded over 115 years ago. The "church on the hill" served as a guiding light for the city of Hazard for many years. The leadership, strength, and guidance from Pastors over the years have built a foundation that will stand the test of time. Our foundation of this church is not the hill it sits on, but the spiritual foundation of what it's built on - the One True God.
Our Mission: Our mission is to share the good news of Jesus with as many people as we can. Our goal is to "make Heaven crowded." To reach people "beyond the walls" of the church and to share the love of God with others.
Our Congregation is just like YOU: Our congregation is made up of people just like YOU! Members of our church have gone through trials and disappointments, some have gone through broken marriages, the loss of a child, financial issues, the loss of a spouse, drug addiction, alcoholism, abuse... the list goes on and on. Our congregation is not made up of perfect people, but rather people who know the Perfect One, our sweet Savior Jesus Christ. Chances are, if you come for a visit, you will see a friendly face you already know... but if you don't recognize someone, just know you are sitting next to someone just like you!
What to Expect: On Sunday mornings at 10 am, we have Sunday School classes for all age groups, even adults! Sunday Morning Worship & the Word begins at 11 am, with music, offering, ministering, and prayer. On Wednesdays at 7 pm, Youth Night with pizza and Bible drills, games, and fun takes place, while inside the sanctuary, mid-week service with music, offering, ministering, and prayer occurs.
